Do I need eyebrow hairs to have microblading?

Updated: Oct 15, 2021

Microblading is a technique of the application of semi permanent makeup. Pigment is pushed into the skin in a hair-like stroke to create the illusion of eyebrow hairs. Microblading can be performed with or without existing eyebrow hairs present.

In the most common cases that visit our microblading clinic in London, clients have thinning hairs with sparse areas and choose to have microblading to fill in these areas to create a fuller looking brow. We also have clients with great natural eyebrow hairs, and we work with them as a guidance to add microbladed strokes to perfect the shape of the eyebrows.

In any case, we recommend you do not remove any natural eyebrow hairs before your appointment, as we use them for guidance in creating your new brows. Longer hairs can be trimmed or removed to neaten on the day. For enquiries and bookings, message us through our contact page or email rachael@thefaceframe.com
