Aftercare instructions for semi permanent eyeliner

The aftercare for a semi-permanent eyeliner procedure is crucial to ensuring that the results are long-lasting and that the healing process is as smooth as possible. Here are some do's and don'ts of the aftercare for a semi-permanent eyeliner procedure:

DO's

  • Keep the area clean. Clean the area with a damp cotton bud in the morning to remove sleep from the eyes

  • Apply a healing balm as directed by your permanent makeup artist

  • Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from sunlight and wind to prevent irritation

  • Avoid getting water on your face for at least 24 hours after the procedure

  • Follow the instructions provided by your artist to ensure the best results

DON'Ts

  • Do not arrive to your appointment with lash extensions. These must be removed prior to a permanent eyeliner er treatment

  • Do not touching or rub the eye area as it can cause irritation and can result in scabbing, which can lead to uneven colour and scarring

  • Avoid swimming, sauna, steam room, or hot tub for at least 24 hours after the procedure

  • Avoid using eye makeup for at least a week after the procedure. Use clean brushes and a new mascara to avoid infection

  • Avoid direct sun exposure. It can cause the colour to fade faster and can also cause irritation and dryness

  • Do not use any creams or lotions that contain AHA or retinol, as they can cause lightening of the pigmentation
