I'm not sure what eyeliner style I want to go for
Rachael will ask you questions during your consultation to help you to decide which style you'd like to go for - lashline enhancement or a classic liner with or without a baby flick. Most clients go for a classic liner and those with mature skin opt for a lashline enhancement - just a subtle enhancement to make the eyes pop!

Does permanent eyeliner hurt?
Everybody's pain threshold is different. However on the whole, most clients comment that permanent eyeliner does not hurt as they expected. At most, your eyes may feel a little sore. Rachael likes to ensure her clients are comfortable at all times, and works by lightly, building layers of pigment gently into the skin. It may take longer but it is more comfortable than working too quickly with too much pressure.

Who can have permanent makeup/semi permanent eyeliner?
You must be 18 years old or more, not pregnant, and you must disclose any health issues, medications or known allergies to your artist. If you suffer with blepharitis (dry eyes) permanent eyeliner is not recommended. Avoid the treatment during temporary eye infections such as conjunctivitis.

Can I book if I have had permanent makeup before, elsewhere?
Please send clear photos of your previous permanent eyeliner prior to booking, so we can assess whether we are able to place more pigment. In some cases whereby you are unhappy with the previous shape (too big), it may be necessary to seek a removal service first.

Is it permanent makeup or semi permanent makeup?
The words are interchangeable around this topic and both terminology would be correct. As far as science is concerned, the pigment implanted into the skin is deemed as permanent, as the molecules of the pigment remain in the skin. However, the colour and definition of the pigment fades over time hence the word 'semi' permanent and to keep the colour fresh, a one-stage boost appointment is recommended after approximately 12-18 months depending on how quickly yours fades.
